Give a Child a Chance

£15 pays for a Big Bag (containing essential items such as toiletries, warm clothing, and a coin for the telephone) for a young person living on the streets

At Give a Child a Chance, we work where the need is greatest. Our locally based projects offer help, advice, counselling and practical life solutions to over 60,000 children and young people who have had the most difficult start in life.

This includes child runaways, children in the care system, children whose parents abuse drugs and alcohol and children who have been affected by the troubles in Northern Ireland.

Our 114 projects are based throughout the country and are at the heart of the community of which some are based in schools.

£25 pays for blankets and sheets, or pans, cups, cutlery and plates for a young refugee living alone

£100 pays for a year’s travel costs, allowing a project worker to visit and befriend a disabled child in a residential care home

All of our projects, staffed by highly trained project workers are there to respond to the need in each individual community, which can differ from region to region.
